Santo Domingo – Arajet, the Dominican Republic’s low-cost airline, has officially launched ticket sales for its highly anticipated flights to the United States. This marks a pivotal step after nearly two years of strategic planning. The inaugural sales are for flights to Miami, Florida, with additional routes to New York and San Juan, Puerto Rico, coming soon.
Arajet’s first U.S. flight is set to launch in April, starting with service to New York. Miami flights will begin on Friday, April 11, followed closely by routes to San Juan, Puerto Rico. CEO Víctor Pacheco expressed his appreciation to President Luis Abinader and Tourism Minister David Collado for their continued support, highlighting Arajet’s vision to establish the Dominican Republic as a premier aviation hub in the Americas.
The Miami route will initially operate four times per week, with plans to increase frequency as demand grows. In 2024, Arajet successfully transported over 1.2 million passengers and aims to reach 1.7 million in 2025, bolstered by the addition of these new U.S. connections.
