Punta Cana, Dominican Republic – Air Europa is set to enhance its flight offerings this summer, increasing frequencies from Punta Cana and Cancún to five weekly flights, while also expanding daily services to key international hubs like New York, Havana, Medellín, Panama, and Asunción.
The airline’s growth strategy includes the incorporation of three new Boeing 787 Dreamliners, boosting its long-haul capacity to 3.5 million seats this year. Between mid-June and September, passengers can expect daily flights to Medellín, Asunción, Havana, and Panama, alongside an upgrade to its Madrid-New York route, which will now operate seven times a week instead of five.
Currently, Air Europa offers daily connections to major destinations such as Bogotá, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Lima, Miami, and Santo Domingo. With these enhancements, the airline projects to carry 3.3 million passengers in 2025, maintaining an occupancy rate above 84%. The arrival of the new Dreamliners will also improve operational efficiency, cutting flight times by up to 40 minutes and reducing fuel consumption by 25%.
